About the person

I'm Van, a hobby artist that goes by Rivetbones.
Another username of mine is Madvexx, but it's for personal accounts and gaming related things.
Currently residing near Nürnberg, Germany, and volunteering at a local cat house.

I like industrial & metal music, games, food, cats,
Autumn, Halloween, werewolves, horror and cyberpunk.

My favourite musician is The Anix
and my favourite games are The Legend of Zelda, Pokémon,
Doom, Mad Max, Borderlands and Cyberpunk 2077.

I own a Madagascar Giant Day Gecko named Dino.
My biggest goals are getting more pets and bodymods.

I struggle with OCD, ADHD and social anxiety,
so please bear with me, I'm trying my best.

About the art

I draw horror, realism and cartoon stuff inspired by music,
mental health, hell, vikings, cyberpunk, videogames and Disney.

A friend and The Lion King Fan-Art Archive are what brought me to digital art
in 2008, so I tend to draw my characters in a Disney-inspired cartoon style.
However, I'm most comfortable with sketchy (semi-)realism and
I think that's where I can use my artistic potential the best.

I picked up pencils and scribbled on paper for as long I can remember,
but I really started drawing when Pokémon came out in 1999.
With time it started playing an important role in my life, as a way to express myself,
and connect with others. I cannot imagine life without drawing anymore, so,
it would only make sense to try and make some sort of career out of it.

So I will try.

I dream of doing album art for favourite musicians and designing tattoos for cool people.
Using my trusty Wacom Bamboo Pen since December 2011 and just recently
got a Huion screen tablet additionally, so let's see how that will affect my art.
